Podcasting with Mr. Plowman

Mr. Plowman’s third period Earth Science class has spent the past week researching energy consumption in the Lenoir County Public Schools. Each group of students is attacking a specific energy-monster in the school system, issues such as lighting and heating/air. Their energy efficient solutions range from geo-themal heating and cooling to solar panels. After researching their topics, students plan on several activities to help make the school system less of an energy consumer. If all goes well, they hope to present their findings to the Lenoir County Board of Education.

This class is the first class at South Lenoir to podcast using the online program Gabcast. After writing their scripts, they recorded their podcast via their cellphones. Their recordings were uploaded directly into Gabcast.
